Freshly-formed Polish studio Gingerbread has given us a first look at The Protector, its third-person shooter for PS3 and 360. It mixes plenty of gun-slinging with plenty of creeping around by casting you as a pair of characters with different ideas of how to tackle a problem - that old chestnut.

But Sony has a solution, apparently The thumbs of most GTA IV -owning PlayStation 3 gamers are probably red-raw by now, their only respite being the game’s inexplicable freezes. So you’d expect Sony’s latest firmware update for the console to fix the annoying problem, right?…

Codemasters has plonked the PS3 demo for Overlord on the PlayStation Store, which is a better place for it than in our pocket. The publisher also cackled a 20th June release date for the full game, which it is calling an “extra evil” version of what we saw a while back on 360 and PC.
